I enjoy teaching it focussing on the principles and adding by founder Joseph Pilates adding to it the contemporary flavours which make the flow interesting and accessible to all body types.
It's a great way to train the body as an integrated whole, focusing on core, lower body, and upper body strength, myofascial flexibility and posture allignment and balance
Hatha Yoga is a basis from which have emerged all other popular form of physical activity. Simply put Hatha yoga is mind-body exercise.
Hatha is translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites
Kundalini Yoga is a technology, a science which works on the 7 chakras (energy centers), the arc line and the aura (8th chakra). It allows the practitioner to harness this energy, to experience it, to ride over it and to penetrate any given situation to attain a balance.
It strengthens our immune system, glandular system, nervous system, circulatory system, and awareness of the impact of our habits. Mantras, Breath and Meditation form a part of any KY practice. The practitioner become totally & wholly aware and his/her creative potential becomes available to them
Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. It also helps us to regulate the body's flow of energy.
Mainly floor postures held for longer periods of time with the support of blocks and bolsters can help all levels especially those people with flexibility limitations
Chair yoga is an ideal exercise for those suffering from conditions, such as chronic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoporosis, and multiple sclerosis. It may also benefit people over a certain age who have trouble moving through the up and down motions of traditional yoga. Chair yoga allows them to stay stabilized.
Breath work is an integral part of yoga. By control and directing it in specific ways we can release toxins from our system to the extent of the DNA cellular levels. The breath can enhance overall health and well-being by releasing emotional stress and mental tension
